Mechanical Music Man
Thursday, March 11th, 2010
This bot is constantly whistling a happy tune and because of all his musical attachments he fills it out to create a symphonic masterpiece. He’s great fun to be around for a while but there comes a point when all you need is a bit of piece and quiet, this is when the off button comes in very handy.
Boxxy The Droid
Wednesday, March 10th, 2010
Boxxy has no idea what his function is so he idly wanders around the place trying to look busy. With only two wheels for support he has to stay constantly on the move to avoid toppling over.
Flying Robots
Tuesday, March 9th, 2010
These two flying robots are very handy when you want to hang something up high or put an object on the top shelf. They are programmed to help and are eager to please.
Robot Week
Monday, March 8th, 2010It’s robot week on my blog!! Here is the first robot:

This robot is full of ideas that light up his bulbs. Unfortunately these ideas usually involve putting objects in his microwave chest and making them melt. This can become annoying when you invite him over to your house for a party.
HP “Your Planet Your Pledge”
Friday, March 5th, 2010I just recently finished directing this animation for HP and MTV through Strange Beast. For the illustrations I took influence from Heath Robinson’s brilliant book Contraptions but I wanted to create larger, more industrial machines that help the environment rather than hinder it. I then animated in After Effects with additional help from Ryan Brotherston who I’ve worked with previously on idents for E4 Music and Kerrang! TV.
This was another project were I had the opportunity to create the music and sound design. I always enjoy doing this and it helps me give the piece the exact tone that I’m looking for.
